How the KEE NuFlow Domestic Sewage Treatment Plant Works
The KEE NuFlow forms the aerobic biological stage of an advanced packaged wastewater treatment system. Built to handle domestic wastewater from individual households up to small housing developments, the system treats sewage to strict regulatory standards, ensuring the final effluent is safe for local environmental discharge.
The NuFlow process breaks down into three efficient mechanical and biological stages:
- Primary Settlement: Gross settleable solids are separated and retained safely within the primary tank.
- Fine Bubble Aeration: Wastewater enters the biological chamber, where a readily accessible fine-bubble membrane diffuser system introduces controlled air. This process cultivates oxygen-rich, beneficial aerobic bacteria.
- Biological Breakdown: These thriving microorganisms rapidly digest organic pollutants and suspended solids, significantly reducing biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), inducing nitrification, and reducing phosphorus.
