Company History
Since 1955, KEE has led the way in wastewater treatment innovation. Founded initially as Keane Plastics, our business has evolved into a global leader in the design, installation, and operation of wastewater treatment systems for domestic, commercial, and industrial applications.
Beginning with the introduction of the UK’s first Glassfibre Reinforced Polyester (GRP) Septic Tank in 1965, today the KEE brand is recognised globally, with over 350,000 wastewater treatment installations worldwide.

A History of Innovation
In 1972, we developed the world’s first commercially available packaged sewage treatment plant using a Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) — a significant milestone in modern wastewater treatment technology. Throughout the 1980s, the increased detergents and chemicals presented new challenges for wastewater treatment systems. KEE responded with a comprehensive R&D programme, resulting in the ‘Managed Flow’ concept in 1989, improving system resilience against fluctuating wastewater flow rates.

Today, the KEE comprises KEE Process and KEE Services, which deliver bespoke, end-to-end wastewater treatment solutions from design to operation. KEE Process Ltd specialises in all types of wastewater treatment systems, from design to refurbishment. KEE Services Ltd provides comprehensive supply and installation, maintenance, repair, and rental services for all types and brands of treatment systems and pumping stations.
